| Black Hole Upgrade for Facetron: | ||||||||||||||||||

Although the Facetron is a good machine, it does lack some of the accuracy preferred by competition cutters. The Black Hole upgrade includes an extra thick base plate and a re-engineered lock nut for the bottom of the mast. The Black Hole base plate is super flat, which provides for excellent repeatability that is unsurpassed on any faceting machine on the market.

The Black Hole base plate isn't just thicker than the standard Facetron base plate. Instead of having the base slotted all the way through, the Black Hole baseplate uses a "T" slot for the mast lock nut to travel in. This eliminates what is a weak spot in the center of the standard Facetron base plate that causes it to flex.

Installing the upgrade is as simple as removing the screws that hold the standard Facetron base plate to the wood base and replacing it with the Black Hole upgrade. All the parts easily mount in to the Black Hole base plate. The tools required are a screwdriver and adjustable wrench |
