Diamante:

Cut diamonds and colored stones on the same machine!

The Diamante is the only portable diamond cutting machine on the market, and is a very robust machine. It is also the only machine made specifically for cutting and polishing diamonds that can also cut colored stones.

The Diamante features a high torque reversible motor with a variable speed from 0 to 4000 RPM. The extremely low vibration and quiet operation of the Diamante make it a pleasure to use.

Although the Diamante can cut colored stones, it is a diamond cutting machine and is not a good choice for colored stone cutters. If you cut diamonds and an occasional colored stone, this is the machine for you.

The arm can be rotated for easy viewing of the stone you're working on.  It can also be rotated to compensate for the grain when cutting diamonds.

	The Diamante has features that are similar to standard colored stone faceting machines.  The index gear and cheater knob (red knurled knob on bottom) are similar to the Alpha Taurus.		Angles are set to 1/10th of a degree with a fine angle adjustment knob (red knurled knob on top right). Unlike standard colored stone faceting machines, after setting the angle, the long red handle on the top left is pushed down to lock the angle in place. This assures that the additional pressure used in cutting diamonds won't affect the angle setting.

Semi-automatic features:
	The Diamante has a semi-automatic feature. When engaged, this motor moves the head and mast back and forth to sweep the stone across the lap.		You can set the amount of pressure applied to the stone with the red knurled knob at the top center of this picture. The quill is then pushed down to the lap and a magnetic hold down mechanism engages. When the stone is cut to the angle you set, the spring-loaded quill automatically pops up.

How To Cut A Diamond presents the fundamental basis for becoming a diamond cutter and a thorough exposition of the art of diamond cutting. It is strongly suggested before investing in machinery, equipment, tools or diamonds that the aspiring diamond cutter peruse this text thoroughly. An avid reader who makes a study of this text, and who is determined to become a diamond cutter, can acquire the necessary insight into the crystallography of diamonds and the highly specialized tools and techniques involved in cutting them.
