Both the Raytech Faceter and Faceter Handpiece have been discontinued by the manufacturer.

Raytech-Shaw:
Note: We no longer sell this machine.

The Raytech-Shaw is the only faceting machine we used to sell that doesn't use a mast.  With no mast, it's easy to just pick up the head and inspect your stone.  To raise and lower the height of the handpiece, the turntable is rotated up or down.  The Raytech is one of the few strictly hard stop machines on the market.  For more information on hard stop and soft stop machines check out our How-to & Tips section.  

The Raytech is an inexpensive machine, so one can't expect complete precision, but it is a good starter machine.  The Raytech only accommodates 6" laps, so if you ever purchase a more expensive machine, you may also want to purchase new 8" laps.

Raytech makes Facet Finders that enable the cutter to quickly locate the proper index.  They make work go faster and reduces mis-indexing mistakes.  The machine can be set to 1/10th of a degree accuracy with a vernier scale and has a concentric cheater.

The Raytech-Shaw comes with the standard accessories, as well as with a full set of Raytech laps.

The Raytech-Shaw Faceter comes with the following accessories:
