The Poly-Metric Scintillator is not as well known as the Ultra Tec, but it is one the finest faceting machines available at any price.

	The Scintillator's sturdy 1¼ inch square mast makes deflection a thing of the past.  The 18 inch mast height easily accommodates large stones without the need of add-on accessories.
	The Scintillator's massive mast is clamped down in place on its rail with two locking knobs.  Fine mast height adjustment is achieved by rotating a crank at the bottom of the mast.

The Scintillator comes with a dial indicator installed.  The machine is set up so it can be used as either a soft stop machine or a hard stop machine.  To set the Scintillator for a hard stop, the fine angle adjustment knob is moved past the plunger of the dial indicator.  For more information on hard stop and soft stop machines check out our How-to & Tips section.
	The digital angle display is easy to read, which makes angle changes go quicker.

A unique advantage of the Scintillator, as with all Poly-Metric machines, is it has interchangeable dop arms.  Interchangeable dop arms allow more than one person to use the machine without having to reset the cheater or index gear.  This is an excellent feature for faceting schools.
